2 Corinthians 9:8-13:

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all suffieciency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

As is is written:

"He has dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;

His righteousness endures forever."

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God."
For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, while through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you."

Hey everybody! Just wanted to let everyone know that I made it safely to Mozambique!
God has blown my mind already with so much favor at the airports while traveling! I had 2 bags that were overweight and an extra bag that I was supposed to be charged per pound for and I wasn't charged a dime...they didn't even weigh my bags! Ha...God is so good! Im so blessed to be here in Africa to see God's heart for the "least of these".  I truly see how blessed and spoiled I am in America! The people here live on so much less than I do.  The word humility takes on a whole new meaning. I've prayed to be humble over the years and at times have thought that I have become quite humble. These first few days God shown me how I'm really not very humble at at.. The people here are truly humble!  Day 1 on base, we had absolutely no power and our water supply ran out last night...my shower consisted of standing under a "very slow drip" just to rinse the dirt off. As I layed down on my cot to go to sleep last night, covered in sweat...no air, no fan, I thought about how air conditioning and heat have really spoiled my life! I layed there thinking that I would never get to sleep...hot and sweaty and not even a breeze. Papa quickly reminded me that the people here NEVER have air conditioning and wouldn't know what it's like to live in a house where you can adjust the temperature down the the exact degree you want it. Needless to say I fell asleep immediately after the Lord humbled me! Hallelujah!
My carry on bag was stolen at the airport when I arrived here in Mozambique, it had my laptop, camera, Bible, journals, phone and many other items in it! HA! I was bumbed for a minute and then the JOY OF THE LORD fell on me as He reminded me that these are just mere items! They are replaceable and of no value in the KINGDOM (except my Bible)!  Praise the Lord! My prayer is that whoever stole it gets to read my Bible and they come to know King Jesus as their Lord and Savior! This would make it so worth everything being stolen! Hallelujah! Well I love you guys and I'll be writing again soon!
Grace and Peace!

  1. Wow, the Lord is doing so much in you and you haven't even started the school yet! LOVE IT! My laptop was stolen as well in Mozy (just out of my house!) It wasn't a materialistic thing for me, because it was insured and I knew i'd get one when I got home, but a way to be in contact with everyone. Plus, I had never had anything stolen from me... much less from my window in Mozy! So, very hard! But, I'm praying for you! You seem to be in good spirits.

    The funny thing about this is, I had a dream last night that I was back on the Mozambican beach. I was seeing all my sweet kids. But, I had my backpack stolen... and this time it was everything... new laptop, journal, bible, camera, EVERYTHING! I was yet again so sad in the dream BUT my backpack CAME BACK... it was found in the ocean. Everything was wet, but could be fixed. Then I woke up and read your blog. The Lord is funny! Praying for you!
